My iPad Air 2 says disabled. It said Touch ID needs the password after 48 hours. ??

Hadn't used the pad for 2 days. The screen said Touch ID needed the passcode after 48 hours. Couldn't remember the password/code. It went disabled.

This is a new security feature where you have to enter the passcode after 48 hours. The only way to get access again is to reset your device and restore from a backup.

In the future you might want to write your passcodes down and keep them in a safe place.
