Got my LTE iPad Air 2 when it first came out, and now I wanna sell it to get the iPad Pro. I activated service with Verizon when I first got it; I thought I remember reading that once you did that, it was locked so that you couldn't use it with any other carrier. Is this indeed the case?

I wanted to put the original SIM card that it came with in there to see what would happen, but of course now I can't find it :P So I don't have a way of testing it.

Unless you bought it at a carrier store the iPad is unlocked. The Apple sim gets locked to AT&T if you use AT&T but the iPad is still unlocked
