iPad Air 2 turning on by itself?

I've had my iPad Air 2 for several months, and I always power it off at night. I notice in the mornings, the device has turned back on? Is there a setting or something on the device that I'm missing? I know I sound crazy, but it has done this numerous times? Thanks for any feedback.

If you turn it off before put it in charge, then it will turn on.
Best way is to put it in charge and then, turn it off
