iPad Air 2-- 16gb, 64gb, or 128gb?

I have decided to purchase an iPad Air 2 for college classes but I am not sure how much space would be sufficient. Used for ebooks mainly, but i'm sure other apps will slowly be added as well. Not familiar with space on apple devices. Please help?

Hard to say but I wouldn't go less than 64

I'd say go with 64 GB. 16 won't be enough, even if you ONLY use it for eBooks. 16 will run out very quickly once photos, games, apps, music, and TV shows/movies are loaded onto the device, so I'd recommend 64 GB.

If you can afford get the 128gb imo though the 64GB version isn't bad

I have a 64 gig through verizon and I love it. Gives me a peace of mind about storage space

I wont buy anything less than 128GB now. I have kids though, and having a handful of movies/tv shows and music available at all times is extremely handy.

As a teacher and a student, I recommend the 128GB.
You will need books, you will take notes and you will study, possibly using Pages or other similar apps for papers and tests.
On top of everything else you might use your iPad for.
Whatever you decide, do not go under 64 GB.

I just bought a Air2 today (actually a birthday gift from my wife) and it is a 128GB. I would recommend that you buy the 128GB if you can as they fill up faster than you think they will especially since you are a student. Mine is probably a bit of overkill as I am retired, but I have filled up a tablet or two without even trying.

Target has a great sale right now on 64 GB for $524.00. BestBuy price matched it, so that's where I just got mine. 64 GB space grey.

Re: iPad Air 2-- 16gb, 64gb, or 128gb?

You should get the capacity that suits you. If you only use it for the most basic of tasks - even 16gb can be sufficient. I used a mini 2 for 18 months for browsing, a few basic games and reading which has 16gb. I never once came close to capacity!

You don't have to do what others have suggested and buy the 128gb 'if you can afford it'. If 16gb is enough, 128gb is a waste.

If you can afford the 64GB or 128gb you should get it.... If your planning on keeping that iPad for 3-5 years how do you know if 16GB will be good enough for you then? Yeah it could be OK now but 3-5 year? How do you know. My mother has a 16GB iPhone 6 which has 11.3GB of space avaliable after you take the requires space for ios 8.4. She regrets getting it and would love to get the 64GB.

Re: iPad Air 2-- 16gb, 64gb, or 128gb?

I feel like 64GB is the best bang for the buck, but if you can store everything on the cloud, especially with 50GB storage being $1 a month now, 16GB can work.

Personally, my phone is a 64 with my iPad being a 16. The 16 has served me well for the last 3 years BUT if I upgrade to the Mini 4, I'm most likely gonna get the 64. Like others said, the 16 fills up faster than you think because you're gonna want apps. Take it from another student/teacher: get a 64 to be safe ^_^

Technically the 128gb is the best bang for your buck since it's price per GB is the cheapest :p

But yeah the 64GB is a great option if you don't want to spend $200 more

I'd say if you stream music use for basic website viewing or if you play small games 16 could be okay. Everyone says no to 16gb anything it's the way the apple crowd is. I have a 16gb iPhone and I've always had on average about 2 gb left. I swap out my music pics taken backed to iCloud. I don't play games on my phone so 16 for my phone is fine for me, I know everyone is going disagree tho I'm used being chewed out on here for my opinion. Now reason I don't play games is because games I play are big in file size. I purchased a 64gb iPad Air. More then I need but problem is 16 wasn't enough. 6 games I play r 9.5 gb so I got 64 and filled it up and it's still not even half full. So for me 64gb is more then needed way more, but 16 wasn't enough and I have enough left for very long time. So pick what's best for u my aunt got 16 gb cus all she does is search web go on Facebook and read

That's your opinion I disagree 110% with your statement I do not pay for more then what I need. If I don't need it it be waste of money I could use on important things ur opinion 2gb isn't enough my opinion it is. Now tho with new leasing and easy pay options, it's only couple dollars more so my opinion changes now. However when paying contract pricing or retail if it's not needed I never would get more then needed.
