Wifi only... That's certainly an option that will save money on the price of a new Air2...

    I have a 6 and Air 2 Wi-Fi. I don't find that I'd need an LTE model

I have a Samsung Galaxy note 4 and a cellular iPad Air 2 128gb with Verizon and like that I don't have to waste battery life on my phone to do hotspot . It only $10 for adding the iPad so it's worth the $130 extra imo . Even if you don't use it good to have if you change your mind later

I usually go with a Wi-Fi tablet and pair it with my phone, something I don't do often, but always works out for me.

With Instant Hotspot if you have an iPhone tethering is easy. If you have an iPhone 6 Plus then your battery life should still be fine even if you tether a bit when you're out and about.

The premium for Cellular model just seems a bit extreme to me, and it's not iPad-specific. Even other tablets like the Fire HDX 8.9 (2014) have a $100 surcharge just for getting the Cellular Model!

Add me to the list that get Wifi devices and tether them through their phone. With Verizion I routinely see 30+ Mbps on tablets or laptops when connected via my Droid Turbo.

I think I'm gonna return my iPad though. I am just not feeling like I'm getting a good deal. The tablet obsoletes the phone for 90% of tasks or vice versa and its $800+. (Tablet + Smart Case + Apple Care). I might bring it back and get a 13" MBA instead.

Though I do think the biggest problem is plopping down the cash. For a phone it was a no brainier but I do feel like I splurged for a non essential with the iPad. Maybe think about it anew more days. I have until Jan 13 to decide for sure.

Device is nice. Maybe I just haven't given it enough time to become a part of my workflow.

I have a windows notebook that I like so it seemed more logical to get the iPad at first.

EDIT: Exchanged for 13" MBA this afternoon. Definitely a better fit for me as an iPhone 6 Plus user.
