Shipping iOS?

Ello, I'm planning on buying an iPad 3, just wondering if the newly manufactured ships with iOS 6 or do they keep the 3's to iOS 5?

The iPad 3 has been discontinued, there's no telling whether the few left come with iOS 5 or iOS 6 installed.

They still do sell refurbished iPad 3's at Apple online store. Depending on when they were refurbished would determine what OS they come with. Any being refurbished as of "right now" would ship with iOS 6.0.1 as that is the latest current OS for that iPad.

Just received two iPads 3 straight from Apple. Refurbs. Both came with iOS 5.
Very impressed and happy purchased. New backs and new batteries.
