iPad (3) Stolen.. Buy another or wait for new dock connector?

I am dying without my iPad, but I just don't want to buy another one with the old dock connector. Just pre-ordered iPhone 5. Does anyone have advice? I hear all this Nov talk, but is it realistic? If Nov I'll wait. If next March, I'll buy.

They probably won't change the connector until a new model is released. They're not going to convert current iPhones, either. It would require an entire redesign of the iPad. The Lightning connector wont be on this platform until the new new iPad (or whatever they're going to name it) comes out.
