Purchase transfer?

OK I recently bought a new iPad. I have an iPhone but this is the first time I've had 2 devices. Anyway the issue is that I purchased an audiobook on my iPad. When I try to get it from the store on my iPhone it still tries to charge me. Shouldn't I be able to have purchased audiobooks on both devices?

Make sure both devices are using same apple Id also

On your phone when you press buy it will start downloading and pop up saying you have already purchased this press ok to download it for free ..

That happens for apps atleast

Other way is to sync iPad to iTunes transfer the purchase then sync your phone

Yeah. Sometimes if you're under the correct Apple ID an already purchased app will still show you that you need to pay instead of just "Install." Happens from time to time. But as Peligro911 said, even if you tap to "pay" it'll recognize that you bought it already.
