    For those of you that live in NYC, the 24Hr Best Buy at 14th Street Union Square will be selling the New iPad tonight at Midnight. They will start giving out tickets to those in line starting at 10PM, so if you didnt preorder and you want to get your New iPad before everyone else, this is the place to go.     Some Wal-marts are reporting to do the same. Unless Apple said they couldn't, there is no reason why they can't.

    Would have thought Apple wanted a simultaneous 8am launch no? Then again, it's not as if they are going to have trouble selling them by the looks of things!

    Yes thats how it has been in the past but maybe no rule was put in this year. Could be up to the retailer.

    This Best Buy always did midnight launches for everything except Apple products, so this is a first. My guess would be that maybe Tim Cook is a little more lenient with the retailers than Steve was.

    Walmart is doing this as well. But I'm guessing they'll just have wifi models mostly.

    Could be. Tim proably wont be as predictable with everything. Either way, they will all sell.
