My thoughts on the next iPad

Heres my thoughts on what we'll get in the next generation of iPad. For starters given the specs we might see it with a name like

iPad 2 HD
iPad HD
iPad 2

It is if the specs below are some what correct. A redesign would constitute the iPad 3 name.


For hardware specs I'm leaning towards theses:

Improved cameras (Maybe 720p FaceTime camera?)
Retina Display
Longer battery life
Same design
Wifi or GSM+CDMA models
16, 32, 64Gb variants
Ether Quad Core or Dual Core - I've seen evidence for both. - Ether way it'll be the A6

We won't see LTE, Apple will leave major carrier and network support to be unveiled on there iPhone range. The iPad isn't a phone it's a tablet, if theres going to be anything major as far as networks it'll be on the iPhone.

At what cost though? When that does happen there will be a fee attached to it as silly as it may seem.

I don't think the name will involve "HD" at all. Even if they do make the screen much better it probably won't be as good as the 4S so calling it "HD" might be kind of misleading. I think they'll call it either iPad 2S if there is no redesign, and iPad 3 if they do have a redesign.

I don't think this will happen. The iPad has always been a non contract device. I don't see that changing any time soon.
