Pink/Blue lines on screen

Trying to help a friend and find out why the iPad screen is physically showing pink and blue lines on it. It's not software-based because it doesn't show up on screenshots. Thanks for any help.

I don't know what's causing it, but if I were you, I'd be en route to the nearest Apple Store. I can only assume that In the meantime, check out THIS thread.
