I would *assume* the price would drop, but for it to drop "drastically" is doubtful, in 'my' opinion.

I highly doubt the iPad 2 would drop in price "drasticlly" I'm sure the new iPad 3 will be between $500-$600 initially, so maybe the iPad 2 would get discounted $100.00 at most. After all it still is the best selling tablet on the market. I just bought my iPad 2 in December, and am very happy with it, and can hold off another year or so for the iPad 4 or 5

You can expect prices to drop around $100. BestBuy has already dropped prices $50, I picked up an iPad 2 32GB yesterday for $549...

I would guess the iPad 2 16GB Wi-Fi would go for about $400.

I bought the one above on Black Friday from the Apple web site for about $450 so I think $400 would seem logical considering a new one would be on the market.

I don't think the price will drop drastically, but you could wait some time and then to decide buy the iPad 2 or iPad 3
