I am thinking of purchasing an ipad 2 to use in college, and since this semester i have a ton of books that i don't want to stuff in my bag, i was curious how well the ipad displays the nookstudy ebooks. does/has anyone used the ipad for text books? are there good apps for studying general education courses? what other apps would be good to look into for note taking or that might be useful to a college student?

Just go for it, there are many apps you could get for text book.
And also there are many e-books you could get for your nookstudy.
