ipad 2 mirroring on apple tv

Hi! I just gave my wife a new ipad 2. I have tried to mirror it on the apple tv but without success. I tried the home button double click and scrolling right the bottom strip. When I get to the ipad - apple tv option, I can't see a mirror button I saw in a you tube tutorial.

What can be the problem? Thanks!!

Does the ATV have the latest software version and is home sharing enabled ?
