Mirroring issues

Ok, both my Appletv2 and iPad2 are up to date and connected to the same wireless network and mirroring is not available. I have checked to make sure my wireless is working and neither iPad or iPhone 4s can mirror. Any help would be great. Also AirPlay is turned on my Appletv.

Did you bring up the task switcher, swipe over to the music controls and turn on mirroring? Otherwise, it won't work.

Can you use the remote app without Any problem ? Also not sure it matters but is home sharing turned on ?
