I live in Canada and plan to purchase an IPad 2 as soon as the local store can bring one in. I want access to 3G service both in Canada and in the US since I travel down south at least 3 months every year. If I buy a "Canadian" IPad, can I use a US carrier when I am in the US. Roaming charges will kill! If so, which carriers would I use. I know in Canada I can buy service by the month. Is that the same in the US. Is it as simple as changing SIm cards?

What WiFi extender should I use as some Campgrounds have lousy service?
Is it possible to get Netflix using the IPad?
That's about it for now, and sorry for the basic questions, but I am a newbie and couldn't find any info on this,
    Thanks for your help,
    Tom

    Welcome.

You should be able to get a US SIM to put in your iPad once you get it. I am not 100% but I would assume so.

Not sure what you mean by WiFi extender, yes there are WiFi extenders (sort of, they are really signal boosters) but you would need to get it added to the network you are trying to connect to.

Yes Netflix works on the iPad and it work beautifully. I use it on my iPads all the time.

You can put whatever micro SIM card you want if your carrier supports data plan on it. ipad is not locked whatsoever.
