I don’t have the security response update yet. Since Public betas have been released a day after the Dev betas maybe I’ll get it tomorrow.

I was having dinner at a restaurant with my queen when I noticed the same update depicted above in RECON1’s screenshot. The (a) part of it made me a little suspicious. I read on a different blog site that the rapid response update was a confirmed test by Apple and not an actual security fix.

Yes sir. I did. As for your last question, I’m under the impression it was a test since it’s removable, but I don’t know for certain.

From what I understand, RSR updates are removable by design in case they cause any issues.
Once they roll into the main release (e.g.: 16.2.1), they will not be removable.
