Mooching about in Settings after noticing a huge number of ads on The Verge, I find that 15:6:1 has turned all my ad blocker settings to off, I can understand this might be required to update iOS.
But Apple could warn us !!
I have a feeling that I had noticed this before !

That's interesting, mine are still set. I can't even open links to Amazon from the iMore homepage because they get blocked.

My ad blocker was still enabled. Just like every time I update.

Or patches to stop a jailbreak.

While it is technically true, it works both ways. A security hole can be use to enable a jailbreak or to execute malicious apps, because it is fundamentally the same thing… in a summary: elevating the rights of an app.

I should qualify my post, I noticed this and rectified it on my iPad. I did not check my iPhone before I turned everything back on again. So do not know for sure if this happened on my XS as well. Must get in the habit of checking both.

Since the update I’ve gotten noticeably improved battery life, but also very noticeable signal strength issues. Using an app in store the other day, battery instantly dropped 50% and all signal bars disappeared and showed what looked like a down arrow. Losing signal when I go inside any building now
