I think it got lost in the midst of Apple's event yesterday. And, as @Ledsteplin pointed out, "Those of us named Public won't get it until next week"! From everything I've read, I'm looking forward to this update!

Unlocking while masked is a little late for a lot of users but since I still Mask up when I’m in a large store like Walmart or a big grocery store I will be looking forward to not having to remove my mask when using Apple Pay. Hopefully

It works really well on my iPhone 12 mini, though I’m trading it in. Hopefully things continue to improve and there will be less instances where we have to worry about those situations.

Unfortunately, I'm not getting that feature. I wish I had it, but my phone only supports regular Face ID.
