Speaking of Weather Apps, I just read about an app that may be of interest to all of you “Weather Fanciers”! I was reading a post by the local office of the National Weather Service on Facebook (gasp, I know, but we’re in for some icy roads tonight and tomorrow). Anyway, at the end of the post, there was a bit about an app called mPING. Here’s a screenshot from the post on Facebook:

I installed it. Let me know what you think!

Took a look. Doesn't do anything, other than allow you to report weather. Some may enjoy that, but I'm not gonna bother with it.

I'm literally listening to the song, "Float On" by the Floaters and the song continues to play when I open the "MyRadar Pro" app.

I'm presently in discussion with the developers of MyRadar Pro re the intermittent display since their recent bug fix update. They feel it might be my VPN inhibiting it, although it's worked well with Norton360 enabled up until now. Let's see how this pans out. I've re- cycled the VPN which restored the display but only for a few minutes. (?)

Well doesn't that design look familiar...

I've changed my Carrot 5 display to one I think is ( for me) more comprehensive. I also used my 'premium' to select Dark Sky in its new '  based involvement' which 'offshore' is night & day different from their former performance. It's a great combination in this region. If a few more App developers include 'openweathermap' in their choices of source ( only seen it on 'Today Weather' & as a web -page) I'll try it.

Very much so. - I'd stayed away from it in the past as Dark Sky previously, ( Carrot's original sole-source) though likely super in the US/UK, was really out to lunch elsewhere, even on their Web display. It was them ( Dark Sky) who advised me that their own App was only available in App Stores of countries supporting it. ( neither Canada nor Barbados) That seems all in the past now though but as 'single source' ie free on Carrot ,-the change to Foreca isn't a bad one.
