Redesigned now playing widget

Working fine on my 8+ but I have a question. Is there a way to link the Now Playing to a different player? I rarely use the stock player and prefer Amazon Music instead.

It does it automatically. I'm currently listening to Spotify...

The little green icon in the lower right corner on the album art.

When the song is playing it's supposed to display the current album artwork and when it's not playing it shows what the last songs that was played on the Apple Music, but not other streaming music services...

That’s what I thought. Do you know how many songs/album artwork it will display when it’s not playing any songs, or how few?

4 shows at a time, however when you scroll left there are 8 more for a total of 12

When your not playing any songs do you have to completely close the app to see recently played song artwork?

Just long press the music icon.

When I'm not playing music, it doesn't show "Not Playing". It shows the last song I had playing. The only way I get it to show "Not Playing", is to force close the music app.

That’s what mine does too. Are you able to see your most recently played songs. If so,
do you force close the app first.

I have to close the music app first. Then I can press on it to see the music album art. Was only one row on my 6s Plus. Two rows on my 12 PM.
Wait, that was on my 6s Plus. This is what I see now.

Interesting. As you see in my Screen shot it says "Not Playing". It used to show the last song I had played but not anymore since the update. I will monitor and see for sure.

When I looked at it on my 6s Plus, it showed the last few songs I had added to my playlist, not the last few I played. I had listened to other songs, after adding those to my playlist.

I thought so as well. That's what my iPhone does anyway...LOL

It might. But the first time I got it to show, it showed the last several songs I had added to my playlist. And I had played other songs after I added those to my playlist. It confused me, since others were saying most recently played. But it was on my old antiquated 6s Plus.

Is it showing the recently played songs on your new device?

I still don’t see anything on my XR.
