Am I mistaken or when this occurs I thought you were able to tap on the word and it would give you alternate spellings? Currently on my iPhone 11 Pro when this happens I am no longer able to tap on the word. When I try it nothing happens

I just tried misspelling a word in a text and a red line showed up underneath the misspelled word. When I tapped the word, alternative options appeared.

Hmm... I almost always get something underlined in blue and I’m not sure what it means and if I tap on it nothing happens. See my included screenshot.

I sometimes get the same thing. Blue underlines indicate links, but they often appear under dates, times, and other things that just don't make sense.

I don't use Tapatalk, so maybe it's a Tapatalk issue?

It’s an Apple thing. I can’t find a link right now, however, it is to indicate there is likely a grammatically error in your sentence right around that word.

I don't know. I use Tapatalk in the app, very rarely elsewhere.

In the screenshot provided, if you change get to have, put a comma before the and, as well as add it after on, I would presume the underlines would go away.

I wish I could find the official page I saw a long time ago for the blue dotted underline. It could also mean it thinks the word there is wrong, or that the word was autocorrected. For the former, that also follows the logic of a potential grammatical error. It seems it is not technically a grammar checker though.

Mine aren't dotted. The links appear without any explanation.

When I click on them, they behave like links. Sorry, but no.

I’ve experienced this behavior before, but I believe I was using Safari at the time. It’s been a while, but you’re right. It was as if the website had a feature enabled that associated certain words with a link to something else.

If it happens again, I’ll try to remember to update this thread.
