Suggestions from a 'technically challenged' but otherwise engaged contributor....(Me)
If a widget, moreso of the 'third-party' genre was installed in the early days of iOS14 (or 14.01) when 'widget fever' was the craze, and its not performing up to snuff, consider deleting the widget, as well as the App where it came from, re- downloading the App, then re-selecting and installing the widget in question. It only should take a few minutes, and data will not be lost. In some cases a paid app may need a 'restore purchase' selection as well. This will hopefully ensure that an up-to-date version is in use. I'm not sure if all widgets are the same with regards to updating and I personally don't know if they update through the App Store or with iOS but doing this quick procedure should cover at least the app store update situation, and has made a difference in 2 of my widgets ( Clock Face, and Ermine Calendar) They now function as they probably should have from the start
