Are you using dark mode? Have you made any adjustments to your font sizes?

Viewing light text on a dark background is, for many people, not ideal, and can cause eye strain. I have found that using dark mode sometimes makes the text seem not as clear to me, which means that I feel as though I'm working my eyes to get them to focus. I adjusted my system font size, and fonts in any apps that allow it, and I've not had any issues since.

Even if you're not using dark mode, I like to adjust my font sizes to be a little larger. Being a little older and wearing a progressive lens makes is pretty much a necessity.

Nope, not in dark mode. Is the standard text size smaller on 13 than on 12? The colors look like they are too bright/intense and some of the graphics look slightly blurry or grainy.

Good question - I'm not sure on the font size because it's represented as a slider and not a numerical value. As for the brightness/intensity of the graphics, I would assume that's a result of the iPhone 6 display not playing well with iOS 13. BUT, I don't really know. That's getting into a technical area that's well beyond my paygrade.

I hope this is a bug and not some effort to make the older LCDs behave more like the newer OLED phones. I don’t even think the LCD in the 6s supports True Tone, PWM dimming, and other things like the new ones do. I reverted to 12.4.1 and it’s fine again.

You can make adjustments. Have you tried "reduce white point" in Accessibility -> Display and text size. I used that before dark mode. Seems to help reduce the bright white.

Whenever I remove my eyeglasses there is eye strain, regardless of the iOS version....(laughing)...Seriously though, I’ve not noticed anything different in viewing things with iOS 13 or any other iOS version.
