iOS 13 public beta 4 is up

Since this beta, my AW4 battery life is terrible, it doesn’t even last a full day anymore.

Yeah mine dropped over 30% over night in theater mode when it normally only drops about 5%. It’s searching for something even when in standby mode.

Yeah there's definitely something going on with my Watch (4 on latest 5.x WatchOS) and battery life. 5 hours after removing at 100% it's down to 80% and I've done nothing but wear it. It's usually only down to maybe 70% on a light day after being off the charger for like 17 hours.

I found a random tip on a Reddit post where someone supposedly fixed it by turning off location services in the watch for Weather but I'm not sure how they did that. All I can do is choose a pre-set city I had added, or the current location. It was on current location though so I set it to the specific city. If that doesn't help I'll just disable location for weather altogether in the main iOS settings app since I don't use the default app anyway except for the AQI complication on the watch. Or I'll just roll back to 12.x. We'll see.

Another issue: I tried to reinstall Shortcuts but when I try to find the app again in appstore it is not there!?

You sure it's not on your homescreen somewhere? Pull down on the screen and search for it.

Sure I did that. Now I tried to reached it via link on google and this is what I get:

Which device do you have? I see the same thing when I link from Google. But I scroll down, and it says, "Works on this device". I have it on screen, but some of my Shortcuts no longer work. Maybe they're working on it, and removed it from the app store in iOS 13 beta.

The badge on the mail app is still not working properly for me. It continues to show that there are unread messages after they are deleted.

I had a really strange experience last night where it showed -1 on the badge. It was so weird seeing a -1 on the badge but it went away after resyncing.

Beta issues aren't usually put out on the internet. Not by Apple. Apple Support would not know about these. You might find other beta users with the issue, but that's it.

Yep me too. I’m hoping PB5 comes out this week and fixes the battery issues.

I have also noticed battery drain on PB4 on my Apple Watch 4, 5.3. What I found is that if you check usage, you will notice the usage and Standby times are close. Yesterday I had like 14 hours of standby and 11 hours+ of usage leading me to believe there is something running that should not be. I will post a screenshot later if it continues. Not sure what to do to fix it. I am willing to do a reset, but not sure it will fix it if it is ios13 issue. I would not expect PB5 for another week.

Yeah like this. The reset didn’t help me I think we just have to wait out for the new beta to fix this.

Thank you from saving me from the frustration of a reset. Just gonna wait and not try to “fix” it with a reset. Glad I’m not the only one.

I'm not sure if something has changed but yesterday at least I had far better battery life on my Watch. However, compared to the other days I was on my phone almost not at all and it still had 70% at the end of the day and my watch mid-50's vs mid-30's. Starting to wondering if the phone is doing a lot of behind the scenes junk it's not supposed to with this beta while it's unlocked and being used.

Mine is still trash. No workout yet today and down to 60%. Normally with no workout I would be near 80%, with workout 72-75. Still something running.

FYI:That is your Apple Watch usage and storage, not your iPhone’s.
