So, I have it for a couple of reasons. I have a summer home and don't keep a laptop there unless I am living there, and occasionally the DSL modem will fritz out when I am up off season to do work and the only way to connect ad troubleshoot is via ethernet. (Rare, but it's happened.) Second, sometimes I'll be in a hotel with WiFi but the room has poor connectivity and there is little to no cellular signal available. (The cellular signal issue just happened on a trip to rural England last week, though the hotel WiFi was fine.) Sometimes the room will have an ethernet connection, so at least I can connect on my iPad or iPhone. Again, really, really rare.
