Trying to update my iPhone X and keep getting this error message. I have 5gb available so I know it’s not storage related. Any thoughts or help?

I’m not sure Apple offers an Ethernet to lightning adapter.
How did you manage to connect Ethernet to your iPhone?

I have this as part of my kit, though I don't use it often. Apple sells a Belkin lightning to ethernet adapter (the adapter also has a lightning cable input as the iPhone itself doesn't provide enough power to the ethernet adapter through the lightning port), or, if you already have the Apple USB ethernet dongle, you can get a similar Apple lightning to USB3 adapter.

Thanks for the info.
I haven’t had a need for this because my WiFi is at 500MBPS. I’m sure others will find this info very helpful.

It works like a charm!

Apple USB Ethernet Adapter and Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.

I actually am using an inexpensive USB 3 Gigibit Ethernet adaptor I bought at one of the big box stores. Just plug it into the USB 3 lightning adapter and connect a lightning power cable too, since you need the extra boost in power for Gigabit Ethernet.

Belkin also makes the “Belkin Ethernet + Power Adapter with Lightning Connector”

So, I have it for a couple of reasons. I have a summer home and don't keep a laptop there unless I am living there, and occasionally the DSL modem will fritz out when I am up off season to do work and the only way to connect ad troubleshoot is via ethernet. (Rare, but it's happened.) Second, sometimes I'll be in a hotel with WiFi but the room has poor connectivity and there is little to no cellular signal available. (The cellular signal issue just happened on a trip to rural England last week, though the hotel WiFi was fine.) Sometimes the room will have an ethernet connection, so at least I can connect on my iPad or iPhone. Again, really, really rare.

After staying in a hotel that supposedly had wifi, but the location of my room wasn't great, I can see the merits of having an ethernet cable with a lightning connected!
