I have iPhone 7 with iOS 11.4 and Widex EVOKE hearing aids. (I am upgrading to iOS 12 now.)

I would like to be able to control and talk to iOS & Siri from 20 feet away or more, using audio from hearing aids. For example, I would like to be able to answer the phone and carry on a conversation on the phone while the phone is charging in another room.

I'm unfamiliar with any hearing aid, however, what you'd like to do will depend on the features of your hearing aid and the range of your bluetooth connection, in my opinion. Hopefully, those who wear them or are familiar with them will reply soon.

My wife’s (Oticon) don’t have a microphone that transmits back to the phone, when she takes a call she still has to talk into the mic on the phone while the audio comes through her HA

Do yours transmit your speech? That’d be the only way I think. Get an Apple Watch ;-)
