i backup my latest data today to my PC before doing a restore, therefore I backup my latest app data

upon successful restore from my latest backup (today), i see that most of my chat app data is not restored to the latest backup data

for example, today is dec 30, my latest whatsapp data after restored is dec 26. Even my iCloud backup is later than my whatsapp data.

i m confused, why after backup today's data then do a restore, my whatsapp chat data is only restored to monday dec 26 (not today's)?

BBM chat data is also the same, BBM is even worst, it went back all the way to Aug 2016 instead of todays data

I don't know. Is it possible that when you sign in to the aforementioned app, that particular data will re-sync to your device? Have you sought assistance via the app's support site? If not, go ahead and do so.

not only that though. most of my saved game datas have to be restored from iCloud, which is strange. If I back up to PC, that means backing up the game data too, but everything resets to as if the games never played.

You might want to transfer your purchases as well when backing up. Just to make sure.
