I use Speedtest.net Speed Test by Ookla

It's pretty accurate also.
This is what I get on wifi on my iPhone 7 Plus

Wow! And there was me thinking my broadband/wifi was fast. Where do you live? Oh my God!

Fast only tests download speed so if you want to see your upload use another app. ;)

I'm paying for 50Mbps. Is the higher the download speed the better & The smaller upload speed

higher for both is better, however, upload will always be smaller than download. Since your paying for 50Mbps, then your upload is probably 5Mbps which is a pretty standard combination. Just be aware that the speeds WILL fluctuate depending on time of day, peak hours will show slower speed because there are more people accessing internet for your provider.
