ios 10 required touch ID?

I'm running iOS 10 on my iPad Air (first gen), so I don't have Touch ID. Instead of swiping to unlock, you simply click the home button and are sent to input your passcode.

Good point. There are multiple non-TouchID devices that will be supported by iOS 10.
