problem launching siri in ios 9

i have an iphone 6s and i am not sure it's a S or a ios 9 problem but here goes. today was the first day i've used it since ios 9 came out but before when i'm driving in my car i would hold the home button through my pants to launch siri to have it activate my handsfree in my car to tell it what i want to do. my car radio can't launch siri on it's own but once i launch it the hands free picks up and all is fine. if i take the phone out of my pocket it launches fine, if i cover the proximity sensor it won't launch. can anyone else reproduce this bug?

i did some testing with some coworkers phones, i believe it's a 6S problem. their 6's all launch siri no problem when the proximity sensor is covered.
