iPad Air 2 and iOS 9 battery life

On my iPad Air 2 with iOS 9.0 and iOS 9.0.1 sucks. I have the same settings set as I did in iOS 8.4.x. With iOS 8.4.x I could go about a week with heavy usage, Kindle, weather apps, Facebook. Since I upgraded to iOS 9.0 and 9.0.1 I'm lucky to get 2 days with the same usage. I have background app refresh turned off on all apps. I close every app out except Kindle and I do have background app refresh shut off for the app.

My iPhone 6 and 6S seem to get the same battery life as they did in iOS 8.4.x. I just read about the WIFI Assist switch and I turned it off on both my iPhone 6S and my iPad Air 2. So I'll see if that helps.

I think I need to go back to 8.4.x. I charged my iPad last night and down to 47%. With 8.4.x I could get 4 full days out of the battery.

If I do a restore using a backup from before iOS 9 was released will that also restore my iPad to iOS 8.4.x? BTW I have all of the "Background Refresh" items shut off.

there is no way to restore your ios to a previous version. try rebooting the ipad and if that doesn't work wipe it and restore it with your latest backup. my ipad gets great battery life in ios 9

Welol last night I put my iPad away with the battery indicating 30%. When I started using it this AM it was still at 30%. After using is fairly heavily, Kindle, 1 game, Facebook using a cellar connection which is very weak, for about 2 hours it is still at 30%. So I think for reason the battery indicator may need to be "calibrated". I'm going to run it down until the battery indicates less than 10% or the iPad shuts down. I'll then recharge it and see what happens.
