I thought Apple was adding photos in SMS conversations on the iPhone 6 w/iOS 9.

I am using ISO9 Beta 3 and I'm sure I thought that on the iPhone 6 they were bringing out contacts pictures in sms conversations just like currently with 6 Plus but I cannot see this on my iphone6?

I don't have an iPhone 6 so I can't personally verify your claim, but maybe someone who does and is also running the latest iOS 9 Public beta will respond soon.

My iPhone 6 running beta 5 has the pictures for contacts along with my wife's iPhone 6 running public beta 3.

Yeah I have the contact pictures showing in my messages too I love it I wish they would add it within the conversation thread too

AFAIK, they only show up inside the conversations for group text chats, where each message can have a different sender.

Does not make sense to put them in non-group conversations because they just make each message take up more space when it's just one line. That doesn't matter if everyone sends long text messages, but for short messages it bloats everything up. If they shrink the images, then they effectively become useless, anyways, as you can barely see them. The person's name is at the top of the windows. For 1:1 messaging, no picture is needed.

For Group Messaging they need the pictures to discern where the messages came from, obviously.

I think they struck a good compromise with that.

Hey do you know why I can only get some pics to show up in the list of texts? I have contact pics for others but they don't show up, currently I only have 2 contacts with pics on my texts list
