I might be in the tiny minority, but I am using the News app a lot. My question is where are the news sources from? I chose some topics (solar energy, driverless cars) and new stories appear each time. Is there a source list or is News doing a Web search for stories?

I think News is a combination of web crawling and content providers tailoring an RSS-like feed formatted for Apple's News App.

The news app does grow on you a bit......however, it will need a built-in reader function like there is in Safari to block out the ads so I can focus on the articles if it is to be my go-to news app.

I agree. After the 'Read more' you're just back at a webpage. A built-in reader would be ideal.
