Are there any apps that will let you place blank icons on your home pages so you can organize the icons as you wish (i.e. Just around the perimeter of the screen). I had this on my Blackberry and was wondering if there were any comparable apps for iOS. Thanks!

Gridlock, anchor, home screen designer to name a few. I haven't personally used any of these tweaks but I here good things in particular about gridlock. Also keep in mind I have no idea if these are compatible with 8.4.

There are a couple of things that can work without jailbreaking.

Use a black wallpaper and black bookmarklets. That used to work. May not now though. They have a white part at the bottom now.?
It would look like this. Not sure why Apple added the white at the bottom.


The Smith option above works like a charm. It gives you a black icon. But you must use a black wallpaper.
You can see the black icon if you look closely.

Just follow the instructions.

No need for a black wallpaper, create blank icons with any wallpaper.
