iOS9 Public Beta 2 Now available - 7/22/15

Maybe it's because iPod Touches don't have the mute switch. I think the poster mentioned that it was on vibrate only when the sound was muted.

I turned all of the volume settings up, took the phone out of vibrate mode. Checked the Siri settings and changed them. It's still the same result. No activation sound.

Just out of curiosity, what used most of your battery life?

I turned all of the volume settings up, took the phone out of vibrate mode. Checked the Siri settings and changed them. It's still the same result. No activation sound.

I hadn't used Siri in a while. Just checked it to see what would happen, and I don't have the activation sound either. I do like the new animation though.

I noticed it too. But when I use Hey Siri The activation sound is there.

Another thing I just noticed. A user of PB 1 mentioned when using Siri to play music there was animation that goes along with it. However in PB 2, it doesn't do that. Just shows what's playing.

I thought I remembered hearing that when you are connected to a bluetooth speaker- you will have the option to have alert sounds go through phone not the speaker... did i dream this or was this a new option...

Anyone have any info on this?

The almighty Google is still powerless. Have you tried asking someone to text you while playing music on a Bluetooth speaker? Maybe Apple implemented it and it wasn't in the list of iOS features.

It's still the same. It's more for the car. I have Bluetooth on aux input. I miss notifications when I'm listening to Xm and it's not on the aux channel.

Yes sir. That's correct. Having said that, it leads me to believe that the betas, although having the same build number, aren't exactly the same. Know what I mean?

The only thing I haven't done to try and solve the issue is reinstall the iOS... Since I can still get iTunes backups fine, I can let the iCloud backups slide until Public Beta 3 hopefully fixes the issue...

I hear ya. Personally, I rarely perform iCloud backups, but I wanted to see if it worked after reading about the problems associated with it. In regard to Public beta 3 fixing the problem, I hope so, too...

I wish instead of showing usage for the past 24 hours and past 7 days apple instead showed usage since taking the phone off the charger. It's one of the little things that annoys me
