    I'm not an iTunes match subscriber, nor do I want to be. I recently started the apple music trial and since then I'm no longer able to sync music from my mac. Selecting the 'music' tab when the phone is connected shows the message that iTunes match is enabled. So, I turn it off on the phone (settings > music > turn off iCloud music library), disconnect the phone, reconnect and try again. Still says iTunes Match is enabled.

    What am I doing wrong? I don't want iTunes Match. The albums that I'm trying to sync aren't available on iTunes or any other online store for that matter. Some are stuff the artist sent directly, some are ripped CDs etc.

    Help appreciated!

    I believe this might be a bug, and I suggest you report it to Apple.
