Your only option, really, is to fall back to the production version of iOS.
Apple has a process and a sequence. Battery issues are not anywhere near the top of the list of focus for beta 1 releases. It is what it is. You can turn off some features and options, but that defeats the purpose. That's why it's a beta, the basic intent of which is to introduce developers to the new code and give them a platform for updating their apps to be compatible. The feeding frenzy of every Thomas, Richard and Harold running it "because they can" is, IMO, out of control.
Notice, that I did NOT say you couldn't (or even shouldn't) be running it. It's just that there are issues and you have to be willing to live within the parameters of whatever experience those issues bring.
The battery issues will be addressed and they will be solved. You just have to have wait for those tweaks to come from Apple.
