Status Size Change Per Screen?

Just wondering if all versions of iOS did this, just 8.2, or just my phone?

I just noticed that the status bar (signal, time, battery icon) appear bigger on the LOCKED screen. When I swipe to unlocked, I'll noticed everything become a tad smaller.

It might look different due to backgrounds changing - lock screen wallpaper vs. standard screen wallpaper.

I have the same background for both screens. Everything is definitely larger on the lock screen, not just an optical illusion.

Mine are like that now too.

My wife's 5s was not updated yet, still on 8.1.2 and her icons are larger on the lock screen. So maybe it's just an iOS 8 thing.
