Any suggestions on preventing my iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1) from randomly going from 4 bars to no service?

I am currently rocking iOS 6.1 on my iPhone 5. But I seem to be having a problem with the phone randomly going from 4 bars to no service out of nowhere! Any advice and updating to iOS 8 is not an option I am considering so don't tell me that!

Okay, well, your limited options include the following:

1. Reset Network Settings
2. Reboot your iPhone
3. Call your wireless provider to see if they can troubleshoot from their end.
