Did Apple forget to update the iBooks icon?

When you launch the iBooks app the icon shows as an image at the top of the store front pushing various free books. The the icon image has the book with curved pages in the same way as the new favourites icon in Safari.

Did Apple forget to include the icon change in iOS 8?

There have been a few threads on iBook issues but I haven't experienced any iBook bugs or issues

Running 8.1 Beta 2 and the icon is the correct one (or the one that matches the others). Just wait for it

The OP is referring to the section and the icon for iBooks.app itself. They may make the icons look similar, we will have to wait to see if it's done in 8.1. Icons are usually updated later.
