Found this site claiming to have 1.0.8 which can jailbreak 7.1.1. When I go to evasi0n.com it has it crossed out. Im guessing it's not safe to use this.

Yes. It will come out during late September and early October if it's on schedule like every year. Even then, they won't release the jailbreak unless the exploit gets patched... Might be around sometime in January. Maybe earlier.

The long wait is why I'm staying on 7.0.4 on both of my iPads and 5S. 7.1.1 isn't worth losing my JB over.

This. I was still running the 5.1.1 JB on my 4s even long after iOS6 came out. I love my JB too much to give it up voluntarily.

If it is like prior years the Jailbreak Team will probably wait until after WWDC to get an idea of what updates Apple has in the pipeline. If iOS 7 gets the usual .2, .3, etc updates before iOS 8 drops, we may see something for one of those versions. Always check their official site for updates and maybe some occasional info on Twitter if you follow any of them.

Apparently one of the jailbrekers announced that if they can come up with a way to JB 7.1.1 or 7.1 within a month or so, they will release something that will work. If not then they'll wait till 8.0 but that they are definitely trying to get something done soon.

That's definitely good to hear. Definitely hope an 8.0 JB will not be too far off from when Apple officially makes 8.0 available to the public. I am currently JB on 7.0.4 and really want to upgrade to 7.1.1 since alot of people seem to have reported very good battery life, so a JB on 7.1.1 and 8.0 would be a win/win

Downgrade iOS 7.1.1 to iOS 6.1.3, iOS 5.1.1, iOS 4.3.3

There's a video at the bottom and it says you do NOT need SHSH blobs to downgrade and it bypasses apple. Is this real?

He doesn't show the entire process. You also need an iOS 6.1.3 ipsw file to downgrade. Its fake.

I assumed so (it's fake) because like you said...he didn't show the entire process which makes no sense. Thanks for confirming.

When I got my 5S, it was already on 7.1 and so I can't jailbreak it.
