Augmented reality in iOS 8

This rumor was first brought up in YouTube videos for the iPhone 5s and continue on the i6 but software wise I think iOS 8 will not showcase AR it's still a ways off but you never know

What's iMore members opinion on this?

I agree, but if it did, I'd think it would be somewhat intertwined with the Maps app.
