iOS update Notification badge icon

How do I remove the badge icon? It shows 1 in settings on my iPad air and it doesn't show on my iPhone 5. Thanks

You need to update your iPad. It's showing up since iOS 7.0.6 has been downloaded and needs to be installed. It's not showing up on your iPhone since it hasn't been downloaded onto it.

You should update! Especially to 6.1.6 or 7.0.6 depending which version you're on/want to stay on.

You can only update to iOS 6.1.6 on an iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 4G.
