Show time iMessages are sent inside message thread by default?

Is there a way to have the times show with each message sent/received in an iMessage thread like iOS6 WITHOUT having to slide to the left to reveal the hidden times?

I find the thread to look a lot less sloppy without a time stamp on each message. I like that they're hidden. Takes a little effort to get the screen shot, but it works
