I just picked up an iPhone 5s, 5c and an iPad Air. My wife and I are new to this whole jailbreaking process we've never had an iOS device before and we want to JB them all. All of them where updated to 7.0.4 thought the OTA I believe. We are looking for guides, tutorials, anything that can help us understand jailbreaking better. I want to understand the terminology etc. I want to actually understand what I'm doing. So like I said if anyone can send me some links to some tutorials guides or even videos I greatly appreciate the help. I have evasi0n 1.0.3 downloaded but that's as far as I got. I read somewhere that you need to restore your devices using iTunes before you jailbreak or it won't work? How does this work? Also, I know nothing about Cydia and MS which I read are important to the whole process. I tired looking up videos on Google and YouTube, couldn't find anything for "jailbreakinh iPhone 5s 7.0.4". I found a bunch of old tutorials for iOS 6 or whatever. Then I keep hearing about repos and tweaks? No idea about that either.

As I mentioned any help would would greatly appreciated. I want to JB these bad boys tonight. Thanks for your time 👍

Oh I almost forgot, if you jailbreak does it void the phones warranty incase if I ever needed to send it back for a replacement? I also have the total equipment coverage (TEC) plan from Verizon and had no idea if that would be affected.

You're too late. If you haven't jailbroken before now you will never catch up and understand. You should stay stock.

No but seriously all the information you seek is available, and in tutorial form, and probably already on this site even! I don't know how much you've researched and tried to find out already, but your post / request leads me to believe that you haven't tried hard enough.

    Step one
    Back up iPhone.
    Step two
Restore as new, through iTunes and your computer
    Step three
Download appropriate jailbreak tool from evasi0n.com.
    Step four
    Run jailbreak tool.
    Step five
    Enjoy your freedom

    Adding on:

Cydia - Think of it like the App Store for jailbreakers. It'll include all of the tweaks/apps you can get
MS - Installs within Cydia. For the most part, you won't notice you'll have it. That's why there aren't tutorials about it.
Repos - Cydia uses a group of servers to host files. You can choose which ones you want and don't want. You can also add more. These servers/hosts are called repos. The most important ones are already included.
evasi0n - If one needs a tutorial to use evasi0n, one might reconsider the whole process. It's really as simple as backing up your phone, closing iTunes, plugging your phone in, and running evasi0n. You follow on screen instructions. It's done.

Does this void your warranty? Yes and no. Lip service says yes and technically it does. But, here's the thing. There's nothing to stop you from plugging your phone into iTunes and restoring it before taking it to Verizon. If you do this, it wipes out the jailbreak as the jailbreak is entirely software. This means the phone is no longer jailbroken and the staff cannot tell it was jailbroken. As such, the warranty is honored. In the case of a hardware failure that prevents you from removing the jailbreak, your phone cannot be started/viewed anyway. As a result, the staff can't tell it is jailbroken. In this case, the warranty is honored.

YouTube has the best tutorials. There are many to look at. After 6 years of jailbreaking I still use it to check for tweaks and what not.
