I've noticed since the update my phone looses my wifi connection A LOT. anyone else?

No, not me. Try doing the following.

1. Reboot your device
2. Go to Settings>General>Reset and then select "Reset Network Settings".

No problems with wifi either... And my router is 4-5 years old too...
