Have the latest itunes installed. I updated last night OTA to the latest ios 7 and then after installing the ipad showed "Connect To Itunes". Tried restarting it a bunch but same thing.

Figured when I plugged it into itunes it would work, but now it just says "Itunes had detevted an ipad in recovery mode. You must restore this ipad before it can be used with Itunes. So I then click on "Restore and Update" but then it says "THIS IPAD CANNOT BE RESTORED. This Device is not eligible for the requested build".

How do I fix this? :(

1. Make sure you have downloaded and installed iTunes 11.1
2. Connect your device to your computer to do an iTunes backup. Afterwards, turn off your device, but leave it connected to your computer and leave iTunes running.
3. Put your device in DFU Mode. (see below)
4. After iTunes recognizes that your device is in recovery, select to restore it.

DFU Mode
Put your device in DFU mode and connect it to your computer/iTunes. It will download the latest iOS and install it for you. Good luck.

Did it exactly as you said, followed all the steps, tried multiple times.

Does not work. Still getting the this Device is not eligible for the requested build message.

Wifi or Cellular+Wifi?

If Cellular - CDMA - http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7/091-9793.20130924.Et3Tj/iPad3,6_7.0.2_11A501_Restore.ipsw
If Cellular GSM - http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7/091-9855.20130924.kp7DF/iPad3,5_7.0.2_11A501_Restore.ipsw
If Wifi - http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7/091-9811.20130924.bz21c/iPad3,4_7.0.2_11A501_Restore.ipsw

Use the appropriate link above and download the file for the device you have - make note of where it saves on your computer...

Connect to iTunes - and click the Restore button in iTunes while holding the shift key on a PC or the Option key on a mac while clicking restore... navigate to the file downloaded per above... let iTunes do its thing....

Hi, the same thing has happened to me except for my iPad Air. I followed the link but they only have firmware updates for up to iPad 4. Is there an alternative that can fix this problem for me?
