The first screenshot was taken this morning at 9:28. I took it off of the charger last night after I finished putting my homescreens and apps like I wanted them. As you can see, my iPhone 5 has excellent standby time with iOS 7. The second screenshot was taking after viewing your post. I haven't used it much today because I've been on my MacBook and iPad Mini for most of the day, but the battery life is still excellent.

That is just...terrible. I also did a clean wipe and set up as new and though it's not like that, after about 2 hours usage low brightness, location limited and app background stuff off, i'm down to about 60%
I have had to put on charger 3 times on a 8 hour work shift. With emails and text, would say medium usage. iOS 7 Beta 6 had better battery life for me.
This is screen shot of iOS 7 beta 6 same one I posted under dev beta topic.

So if I don't use my phone as a phone it has good standby time.

This is mine. I never really monitored battery life on iOS 6, so I don't know if this is good or not.

Here is mine on my iPhone 5. Couldn't be happier.
1 hour of music, 1 hour of pdf comic reading ,remaining are wifi surfing on flipboard, tapatalk, safari
Any1 know what are the average usage time on ios6? By the time i got this iphone 5 i loaded it with ios7 beta till now...
mine was awful until I did a full restore and then cycled the battery a few time. Now it is on par with what I got on iOS 6, which was about 8 hours usage every day. I charge nightly regardless of battery percentage.

Mess. Mostly wifi browsing and maybe 5 minutes of Cut the Rope. That with Bluetooth OFF along with LTE, Auto Updates, Background Refresh, "System Services" under location and Parallax. I've tried resetting all settings. Any tips?
I have done a full restore over weekend without iCloud backup. Seems better getting 7-8 hours of usage. Before I was only getting 4-6 hours.
I do about 10 emails/ iMessages. Surf with tapatalk and check my social medias on lunch break. Also a 20 minute FaceTime call to my little girl on LTE.

Seeing crazy stuff to with 20% 7% power offs. This was weird today battery at 10% then plug in and instant jump to 36%
Sent from iPhone 5
Everyone, do a restore as new and then cycle the battery a few times.
Those results are a fresh restore on Friday and charge cycles on weekend. Like I said above.

I think mine is ok. Not sure though.
If you go by usage and not standby it's bad. They claim you should get 6-8 hours of usage.

Just picked up a ip5. Wasn't sure if the battery is toast or of it is in fact ios7. Hopefully a update soon will correct it

I have had my iPhone5 running ios7 shut down twice when the battery show around 30% battery. Tried to turn it back on and the screen show zero charge and plug in to a power supply, when I plug it in the phone restarts and then the Battery shows 30% battery again.
Is this a bug that the battery is low and the % is out of calibration?
Iphone5 iOS 7 done ota. Here's two screenshots - first one from a few days ago... And one from this morning. I haven't plugged the phone in since unplugging it yesterday morning.
The first few days it seemed like the battery drained really fast.
Drain the batt until it shuts down, charge to 100% then do a hard reboot. Turn off the app background and location also lower down the brightness. That will do :)
When you say full restore, do you mean you restored to a brand new phone, and then restored an iOS 7 backup?
I recently did that and am on my second charge cycle, hoping battery will improve with a few cycles.
My terrible battery life maybe battery related. I got a appointment on Saturday. From a fresh restore and no backups used. I was getting auto power down at 20% 10% and 5%. Also one morning would not power on, even if I plugged the cord back in. Had to do a hard reset to power up.

LOL. Wow super battery. Just had my battery changed by Apple, was only charging to 78%

Just did it today. They change battery on sight now.

I think mine is about the same as it was on iOS 6

New battery helped my standby time. Low usage today. See tomorrow on how it is medium usage. Be nice not to plug in 2 times a day.

With most things turned off ( don't need them anyway) I get through a 9 to 10 hour day. For example I was up for work at 5 am this morning and i use my phone pretty often throughout the day. By 12pm I was at 65 percent with heavy use. By the time 6 pm rolled around I was at 20 percent
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Would say do a fresh restore no backup. Should get minimum 6 hour usage, if not probably have a bad battery. This is after replacement and only with reduce motion on. GPS , wifi background apps all on.

Just plugged in at 20%. Apple fixed my battery issue.

Do you listen to any music??
Was about 2 hours of iTunes Radio, 10 emails, 20 text, and a 20 minute FaceTime on LTE.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am consistently getting less than 5 hours of usage time. This isn't the 6-8 hours advertised. I have also tweaked many of my options to save battery life. Could I have a bad battery?
Are you talking on the phone or using internet?
Mostly Internet, games, email and talking on speaker phone.
When you are using your internet are you on cellular or wifi?
I have noticed on mine that certain games I play use more of my battery than others. Especially the ones that connect to the internet.
Mostly wi-if, and a little bit of cellular.
When you set up your phone did you set up as new or did you restore from a backup?
Set up as new.
My battery life was pretty bad at first and now it's not any different than it was with iOS6.
The quoted times are for web browsing as this is a standard battery life test even used for laptops. If you are playing games and using other apps, you may not get the same battery life.
Regardless try turning off location services for apps that really don't need it. Turn off background app refresh for apps that you don't need it for.
Can bring in and check. Before battery change. Phone was powering itself off at 20% 10% 5%. Would say if it staying on at those points it's ok. Mine now will go right to 1% before it turns itself off.

Thank you very much for all of your help!
Haven't really been watching my usage stats. But after some good time now with iOS 7 I feel like my battery life is at least the same or maybe slightly better. No complaints. It easily makes it through the day and until bed time.
I have location services on (including Google Now), wifi on 24/7, 3 email accounts that push, and at least a dozen apps sending push notifications.
Here's mine
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mine continues to improve...
Mine has gotten better as well. I completed a few power cycles, turned off parallax, and limited the apps that background refresh or use location services. I keep screen brightness at around 50%.

Has anyone noticed that using the messaging application the battery drains quite drastically? My battery is not bad if I use it normally, but on those random moments I sit down and use the messaging application consistently, for 10-20 minutes at a time, the battery percentage drops like a stone.
Haven't yet gotten the 20% notification but powering down for the night...
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Messaging app? Maybe ur brightness is high. Or bad dta connection.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 4
Brightness at minimal (below 30%) and I have full bars @ -69 signal strength. I crossed that possibility out ages ago. It's odd...
This is mine today with mostly network usage. To be fair, it's going to last me the rest of the day I'm sure. Still, it's lower than what is like.
This was after I charged it up and put it on airplane mode and fell bac to sleep woke up at 7 and saw that it was at 92%. I thought that was strange for the phone to drop that much in that time with airplane mode. Now I turn that off and start my day... It's 9:02 now and I'm still
At 92%...

I have about 2.5 hours of usage time in between charges. I'm a heavy user but still, it was never like this on ios6
Also I charge my phone 2-3 times per day. It's getting quite ridiculous.
R u killing it and them charging it completely? Sounds like u need a reset.
Here's mine, not great bit of u count that as screen time it's about the same as my note 2 was.

Hi, how much and how do you use your iphone to get a usage time like that? Videos, music etc. Isnt usage time calculated from the moment you unlock your iphone. How does it count eight hours when u do only that?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Usage is track when something is running either in the foreground or in the background weather the iOS device is locked or unlocked. Stand by is the total up time of the iOS device including idle time.
Sent from my iPod touch (5th generation) or iPhone 4S using Tapatalk
Though I'm satisfied, it seems I'm getting a little more drainage per hour of usage than I was on 6! But, I'm good with what I'm getting!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You usage is only with 3G or mixture of wifi and 3G?
Have you try to enable just 3g?
That was a mixture. Maybe 1/4 LTE, 1/4 3G and 1/2 Wi-Fi
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Has anyone updated to IOS 7.0.3? How is the battery life like?
Can someone post screenshot of ur battery life in 3G or LTE signal..
Not Wifi.
Thx
Just plugged in leaving work
This is my battery life so far...
100% on 3G, mostly use it for BBM/Line.
Just 3-4 minutes checking my online game....that's all.
Attachment 40894
My last one...I stopped using the percentage but you get the picture. Just plugging in from yesterday morning at work
Yeah I have noticed this as well. Pretty odd.
I was doing it all today phone calls, texts, games, browsing. Screen brightness is around 30-35%
#Naked Tuesday
Yes, ive noticed this as well
My battery life surprisingly improved after while...
Some sort of software usage learning algorithms in ios 7?? LOL just a thought.

I am having the very same problem, when my battery reaches 35 to 33% my phone shuts off. When I plug it in it comes back on with around 38 to 40% charge remaining. I tried putting my phone in DFU and reinstalling iOS 7, hoping that would fix the problem. No luck! This is definitely an iOS 7 bug, with iOS 6 my phone was fine. I recently had a 2 1/2 hour flight, my phone was in airplane mode for the duration and was completely unused. At the beginning of the flight my phone had 70% battery remaining when I turned it on at the distant end it had 33% remaining. I sent one text message and then the phone shut off. Totally frustrating!
I have also noticed when I plug in my phone when the battery is beginning to get low for instance it is at 38%, as soon as I plug in the charger it will jump up to 52 or 54%. Clearly a battery level reporting bug in iOS 7!
Nope it's a bad battery. Mine was doing that and they replaced my battery and is fine now.
